Bookshelf Browsing: Penguin Classics

I’ll bet that many of you out there in the blog world are familiar with the wonderful recovering of Penguin Classics done by Coralie Bickford-Smith. Her stunning collection keeps on growing with the recent release of F. Scott Fitzgerald metallic covers (featured on design*sponge).  I can’t wait to add some of these classics to my personal collection! There’s no denying that the books themselves are timeless pieces of literature, so they’re definitely worth investing in, especially now that they look so stunning from the outside.

I’m drawn to Sense and Sensibility, both because it’s one of my favorite books and because it just happens to be dressed in my favorite color combo — pale blue and red! My mom has her eye on Cranford and Tess of the d’Urbervilles. Which books would you choose?

The best prices I’ve found on these books seem to be at Amazon.  These works of art deserve to be treasured and passed down through the years, so DO judge a book by its cover and add some to your library!

  1. These books are awesome. I also like the Sense and Sensibility one.

On a side note, I am surprised we have not seen these books on Kanye’s twitter feed.

  2. I love these books! Ben found them (of course!) and I hope to add to my classics collections (hint, hint, family members…).
