Sometimes there are spaces in your house, like the bath, that can just feel so boring and utilitarian. However, I find that the functionality of these spaces is just a great excuse to get really creative! Best of all, you can decorate without investing a lot of time or money. You won’t be hanging fine art in the bathroom, but you do have to hang a shower curtain…and you don’t have to settle for one that’s merely practical. Here are some statement-makers that will add a punch of color and creativity to your bath.
This curtain is just a lot of fun– I love the retro/mod vibe and the bursts of bright yellow, which make an impact without getting too crazy. This is a reasonably-priced way to do something hip and different in your space, and I love the urban reference–it would look great in a loft.
I’m just going to link you to all of the shower curtains on Anthropologie’s website, because I can’t choose just one.
So typical, Anthropologie, to rope me in with an overwhelming amount of beauty. They have their own version of a cityscape curtain if CB2′s is not to your liking. I’m particularly intrigued by the ribbons and flowers of this one to the right. It reminds me of Maypoles from years’ past.
I am completely obsessed with the funky and dramatic chandelier print below from Izola. I mean come on, it’s a hand-drawn print! I think its potential reaches beyond the bath. I’m envisioning it behind a sheer panel in a bedroom window or even as wall art for the backdrop of a dining room, in lieu of (or in addition to) an actual chendelier. This item keeps popping up on One King’s Lane, a discount home decor site, for $25 which is 50% off the original price. It absolutely clashes with my whole bathroom, and there’s absolutely no room for it anywhere in my current home. But it’s so unique, I feel like I have to have it! I want it for my “secret stash” of design items for future use. What do you think, guys…next time it comes on sale, should I go for it?

yes!!! buy it ;)…I want the city scape!
ok fine you twisted my arm ;)
