Brought to you by the letter B

Remember my friend Bria, who you met last week? Bria has a Business. And a Blog. She also has a super-cool bedroom/office with an amazing fireplace and mantel. Bria recently blogged about the concept of layering, both in clothing and decorative accessories. Inspired by this image

she is hoping to add an alphabet B to her mantel to create a standout vignette.

This led me on a fun hunt for alphabet letters! I’m here to present you with my favorite ideas :)

This plexi letter is so bold and unique. I’ve never seen anything quite like it…very memorable!

I love the sleek, chic look of this lowercase b. Understated, clever and eye-catching.

A wreath! It would be a great way to ring in the Christmas season, and you could swap out the red ribbon to make it look trendy and rustic year-round. Plus it’s on sale :)

I’m drawn to this wooden letter’s distressed finish and curves. This comes in a variety of colors and has a breezy retro feel.

These wood blocks have old book pages pasted behind the letters. Love the vintage quality, and it really works with our theme of layering!

You all know I love random knobs! They have so many functional uses, and you could even prop one on the mantel as part of a casual “found objects” collection.

Finally, some reliable metal letters available in multiple sizes and finishes. I saw these in-store and they’re great! I’m considering the @ sign for my own home office desk.

So there you have it…Beautiful, Bold, anything-but-Basic Bs!

  1. This is B-rilliant, lady! I love the way you opened the blog. Thanks for doing the leg-work on the letter search. I’m so excited to find my very own, B.
