The moment I bought my iPhone, I searched high and low for ‘designer-y’ apps. I didn’t really know what I was looking for, but I wanted to see beautiful graphics paired with creative content, like a piece of art or stationery in interactive digital form. The search bar didn’t yield too many results, but thanks to Design*Sponge I learned about Cartolina. Now that I know, I couldn’t love them more if I tried. Cartolina is a vintage stationery line with a modern flair made by graphic designer Fiona Richards. I’ve had the pleasure of communicating with Fiona a bit, and she is one super-sweet and talented artist with a strong vision.
Cartolina iPhone apps send the loveliest greetings through text or email in place of paper cards–I’ve used them since they first launched to send birthday greetings, congrats and well-wishes for any occasion. It’s always a hit and people love receiving a note with such stunning graphics.
When I heard on Twitter that Cartolina was expending into an Etsy shop selling art prints, I could barely contain my excitement. I’ve been counting down the days waiting for the shop to open. Well friends, today is the day!
