Pillowpalooza Kickoff! Meet Kari Fisher

Hello, friends! I’m so excited to roll out something that’s been a dream of mine since I started decorativity…it’s Pillowpalooza! During the rest of April, we’re celebrating these little decorating powerhouses: portable, plush, and able to change the whole look of a room. Last month, my new friend Kari Fisher was invited to speak at “Pillow Talk and Cocktails” at AmericasMart. It was just too perfect, and Kari took me along as her guest! 5 panelists (Kari, Sherry Hart, Capella Kincheloe and my blog friends Dayka Robinson and Erika Ward) were given blank white pillow forms and tasked with creating covers that incorporated their personal styles and current trends. They spoke on their designs and their experiences as bloggers in the world of interiors. Did I mention this was right up my alley? Click on the ladies’ links above for great summaries of the event. I was so proud of my girl Kari for articulating her vision, and of course for her amazing pillow, based off this super-cool mood board:

Kari has expanded her design business to include this fabulous line of handmade pillows, available on Etsy. I love the choices she makes with fabric and pattern, and can vouch for the fact that she holds her work to the very best standard, including dreamy feather inserts and impeccable tailoring.

She’ll customize for ya, as well! Ring in Pillowpalooza by checking out Kari’s shop. Get comfy, there’s more where this came from!

  1. If you ever come to visit me in my little old town, you’ll find that I am quite in love with an eclectic bunch of pillows, too. (Oops, that hint wasn’t very subtle). I do love pillows!
